Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about our verification process, valuation methodology, and how to close your next ecommerce deal.

General Questions

What makes Ecommerce Acquisitions different from Flippa or Acquire.com?

Unlike generic marketplaces, we take an M&A advisory approach. We verify all revenue through bank and payment processor data, focus on the mid-market ($500k - $5M), and specialize in ensuring every deal is financeable through our sister company, eCommerce Lending.

Is there a cost to browse or list?

Browsing verified listings is free for registered buyers. Sellers can request a free valuation and list their business with no upfront costs—we only charge a success fee when your business sells.

Sellers Questions

How do you value my ecommerce business?

We use the SDE (Seller's Discretionary Earnings) method. We audit your financials, identify all justifiable add-backs, and apply a market multiple based on your growth, risk, and financeability.

How long does it take to sell an online business?

Most high-quality businesses receive serious offers within 30 days. The total time to close—including due diligence and financing—typically takes 60-120 days.

Will people know I am selling my business?

We offer discreet listings. Your brand name and sensitive details are hidden behind an NDA. Only pre-qualified buyers that you approve can see your full business identity.

Buyers Questions

How do I access detailed financials for a listing?

You must first create a free buyer account and sign our standard Master NDA. For some "Elite" listings, you may also need to provide proof of funds or a buyer profile.

Are all businesses on the platform verified?

Yes. We verify revenue through bank statements, platform exports (Shopify/Amazon), and/or tax returns. Every listing includes a verification tier badge so you know the depth of the audit.

Can I get a loan to buy a business on your site?

Absolutely. Many of our listings are "Financing Ready," meaning they've been pre-qualified for SBA 7(a) loans. We facilitate introductions to preferred lenders through our parent network.
